Formed as a collaboration between cutting edge technology and traditional community news, Avant Publications aims to bring decades of media and technology expertise together to accelerate community news, and leverage technology to reduce costs and increase revenues and media capabilities.

Current CEO of MIDTC and Formerly CIO of Civitas Media, Mok has 25 years of experience in various roles including: CIO, VP of Technology, VP of Circulation, Sales Director & Publisher with privately owned companies, as well as public companies including: Lee, Gannett & Knight Ridder.
Mok is married with three children and resides near Davidson North Carolina. He served on many boards of various non-profit local organizations including: Chambers, The Children’s Museum in Asheville NC, and he actively advocates for Children’s causes including: St Jude’s and Children’s Hospital of St. Paul.
Mok was born in Derby, England, immigrated to and grew up in the suburbs of Chicago Illinois. He has a BS in Business Administration from Thomas Edison State College in Trenton, NJ.

Nick DeLorenzo is the Chief Digital Officer. He has over a decade of experience in the news media industry, with a background in web development, programming, and digital strategy.
Nick’s web-development work has been widely recognized, with nearly two-dozen awards from various organizations, and includes EPPY, W3, and America East awards in various categories including Best Website, Best Mobile Presence, and Best Use of Technology.
DeLorenzo was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and grew up in Mountain Top, Pennsylvania.
